This website is run as part of the Cities of Service Initiative in Bristol.
This website is a place where organisations all over the city can enlist your help with the vital work they are doing. In just a few simple clicks you could be signing up to help build a garden or help children improve their reading skills. You could be changing lives and impacting your community for the better. Just click to get involved.
Alternatively as an organisation it is free to register and post your role descriptions on the site which will enable you to recruit more volunteers.
Cities of Service is currently focusing on helping children in Bristol improve their reading skills. This project has so far been highly successful, by March 2016 Bristol Reading in Schools was already in over 40 schools across Bristol, had helped over 200 children in the year and had 100 volunteers. But there is still a long way to go. For more information or to volunteer please click here.
This website and the Cities of Service programme are improving and growing, to keep up to date with everything we are working on please check out our blog.
As part of the European Green Capital year, Cities of Service undertook a study into 'Green' volunteering so that we could effectively understand the best way to help and support volunteers in this sector after 2015. Please check the Charitable Organisations tab or get in touch for more information.
We aim to empower people to get involved through volunteering and work towards creating a happier, healthier, cleaner and more sustainable and equal city.
